Music Committee Launches Perla Assembly Song Page

The Music Committee *cherva lang* headed by Sis Sheena launched its web compilation of IORG songs on April 28, 2006. The songs can be accessed through the following url: www.soundclick.com/perlaassembly. All Rainbow sisters are required to sign-up in Soundclick.com to access and download the mp3s.

The music files were derived from Sis Lindsay Mancebo's 2003 compilation, My Rainbow Dreams. As agreed in the April 22, 2006 stated meeting, members as well as the petitioners will not be asked to get a copy of the CD of the songs, but will be required to download all the songs from a sound-hosting site.

The lyrics of the songs are found at the "Files" section of the Pretty_Perla Yahoogroup. :)

NEWS, NEWS, NEWS!

Volunteer for the Secretariat of the DAAP National Congress May 26, 27, 28 (Fri, Sat, Sun) at UPLB is open to all active and majority Rainbow girls as well as sisters from Jobs Daughters. The Assembly has assigned Sis Trina Gonzales as Team Leader in charge of texting, calling and coordinating with the sisters who have committed to participate themselves, while Sis Sweet Tan has been assigned as Assistant Team Leader. President and main organizer of the event is Bro Jun Salatandre.

The Sunday Divine Church Service shall be moved to a later date on April 29, 2006 instead of the designated date April 23, same venue at Ellenwood Church around 10 am.

Rizal Night

Last June 19 Perla Assembly, with the help of sis Lindsay from Makiling Assembly and sis Bernice from Tacloban Assembly and brother DeMolays from different chapters performed a rendition of Rizal's Letter to the Women of Malolos for Lodge Perla del Oriente's Rizal Night :) This was to commemorate the birthday of our national hero. Last Saturday, 09 July 2005, members of Perla Assembly came to witness General Douglas MacArthur Chapters 54th open installation at the Philippine DeMolay Youth Center, PDYC, Manila. Brother Martin Bañez assumed his position as Master Councilor while Jian Kalaw and Aiken Lopez were installed as Senior and Junior Councilors respectively. Sis Tasha Eugenio was Chapter Sweetheart, while sis Jem Zafra was presented as the Inspiration of the South. Refreshments followed after at the Macario Ramos Hall. Congratulations Brothers! :)
